Gear Up Girl SA is a bike ride designed to get more women cycling. In South Australia, only 1 in 5 people riding bicycles are women, with many stating that the lack of infrastructure, knowledge and safe bicycle paths prevents them from cycling more. This ride aims to address this by providing a safe and enjoyable bike route on the day of the ride as well as pre-ride training and support and bicycle maintenance courses just for women with an ultimate goal of having more women cycling more often.
