The first World Bicycle Day was organised on 3rd of June, 2018 in a befitting manner in New Delhi, the capital city of India. This event was organised by All India Bicycling Federation along with Smartbike Mobility Pvt Ltd, World Cycling Alliance and New Delhi Municipal Council, Government of India. It was a spectacular success and in fact was the largest cycling event to be organised on the occasion of the World Cycling Day anywhere in the world.

Key Deliverables / Outcomes

About five thousand cyclists from all walks of life enthusiastically participated in the largest and most colourful cycling event held at Charkha Museum, Connaught Place, New Delhi.

The Hon’ble Vice-President of India, Shri. M Venkaiah Naidu was the Chief Guest. Union Cabinet Minister for Environment, Science & Technology Mr Harsh Vardhan, Mr Vijay Goel, Minister for Parliamentary affairs, Government of India, Miss World Manushi Chhillar, top officials, Business Men, other dignitaries and celebrities participated in this event.
